Joshua Tyell Maughan joins our family

Well he is FINALLY here. At 10:56 pm on Dec 3 Josh was born. Weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long. It was a great labor and with one contraction of pushing he was out. The hospital was packed so I got to stay in the labor and delivery room until the next night. Tyrell got out lucky and didn't have to stay one night in the hospital with me. The only problem we had was that Josh had low blood sugar but thanks to my experience with Noah we were able to keep him out of the "special care Nursery." We were also excited to meet William Dustin Carter, my nephew, who was born the day after Josh. The first pictures are soon after birth, about an hour old. Then there are pics of Josh with Emma and Noah. Then two pictures of Josh and William (josh is the one on the right) Well we are all happy and doing well. I will hopefully be able to take control of all the kids by the 9th because thats when Tyrell's mom is leaving.
We are so grateful for all of you and wanted to share pictures of our little boy with you. Hope all is well!

Happy Halloween & other great news

We had so much fun on halloween! Emma has been talking about trick-or-treating for the last 3 weeks and finally she got to do it! We took tons of pictures of the kids and a few videos. We loved lauren's elephant costume! When she was crawling on the floor she actually looked like a little elephant. Emma and Noah got scared by the costumes and some of the "trunk" displays but were very happy with their bags full of candy by the end of the night. Noah apparently had it all figured out by the third or fourth car and would willingly walk up to cars and say trick-or-treat! Friends of ours that had their car parked next to us ran out of candy and started handing out small gourds! It was a grand night and we had so much fun! Emma had been talking for the last week about being the little mermaid for halloween, but at the last minute she decided on a witch like mommy! She is getting so big! Speaking of big I was going to wear my wedding dress for my costume and Tyrell said that that was just not right since Im VERY pregnant!

THE BEST NEWS EVER!!!!
I am so excited my mom, oldest brother, and little sis are flying in from new york and texas to see us for CHRISTMAS!!!! Emma and Noah continually ask when they will be here and if they are bringing presents! Its going to be so much fun having christmas with my family again!

I am feeling VERY pregnant and its getting very hard to chase the other kiddies around (well they are pretty obediant most of the time) I go in for a check up (for all you ladies you know what kind of check up) on Nov. 13th....a month before I'm due. Other than that Im just feeling HUGE! I have finally found two names that Tyrell and I like for a baby boy. The first is Spencer and the second Josh. So at least we now have names that both of us like. I fell VERY strong that his name will be Josh, but I'm not sure what Tyrell thinks :)

Let it snow!

Well it finally happened. We got about 3 inches of snow! It is fun to see a preview of winter already. The snow is already starting to melt off so we don't think it will last tomorrow. Emma keeps telling everyone about snowball fights and snowmen. She is really really excited. The video is of Tyrell teaching the kids to catch snowflakes with their mouths! I love it

Gifts from the florida! Well not really from florida, but from the grandparents that have a home in florida....anyway Emma loves the dress she got and especially the purse. I LOVE Noahs clothes, everytime he wears the shirt with a bear he starts yelling "ROAR" at me. Lauren looked beautiful on Sunday with her new dress as well. We are so gratefull for our family! Noah also got a new suit for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Maughan, its still a little big on him but he looks so handsome. He loved wearing a jacket and tie! Noah's Party Well we had a bumpy start with the party. The rule of the house is if you don't finish your dinner, you don't get dessert or treats. Well of all nights for Noah to be somewhat grumpy, he chose his birthday. We spent probably 20 min just trying to get Noah to eat his dinner, he must have had 4 trips to the corner for time out and still didn't want to eat. Finally Auntie Cecilia started chanting his name and he took a bite! After one more trip to the corner he finished his dinner so that we could blow out some candles on his cake. I apparently gave him the wrong present first because he liked it so much he didn't want to open anymore! After 5 more min of coersion, we got him to put it on the chair next to him and continued with the unwrapping. We had so much fun and enjoyed the cake and ice cream. Here is a video of Noah trying to blow out his candles, until daddy helped him. We love our little man and can't wait until he has a little brother...only 2 more months to go!
